With BizTalk Adapter for Web Services Enhancements (WSE), you can now build service-oriented architectures including secure Web services with plug-and-play end points, providing management with built-in scale-out capability and extensive system and business-level monitoring.
The BizTalk Adapter for Web Services Enhancements (WSE) is a "no-code" connectivity solution that integrates secure Web services with BizTalk Server 2004. The BizTalk Adapter for WSE is implemented using the WSE for Microsoft .NET, and it supports WS-Security, WS-Trust, WS-SecureConversation, WS-SecurityPolicy, and WS-Policy. The BizTalk Adapter for WSE can also be used to securely call Web services and publish BizTalk orchestrations as Web services.
It includes support for:
- Using Policy through a new WSE adapter to graphically consume secure Web services inside orchestration.
- Publishing an orchestration as a secure Web service through an enhanced WSE-capable Web service publishing wizard.
- Key features, including WS-Security, WS-Trust, WS-SecurityPolicy, WS-SecureConversation and WS-Policy.
When calling Web services, the BizTalk Adapter for WSE enables you to add Web service type definitions to BizTalk projects and configure send ports to call Web services. When publishing BizTalk Web services, the BizTalk Adapter for WSE creates Web services that utilize the Web Services Enhancements 2.0 for Microsoft .NET class library. The Adapter for WSE also takes advantage of the WSE support of policy files, which allows you to add or modify the security requirements without writing a single line of code.
